UNAS COSITAS DE PROFE:
I grew up in Cary and attended Cary High. While in high school, I traveled to Merida, Mexico to work as a summer camp counselor at a small private high school, Blas Pascal. It was then that I fell in love with español. I knew I wanted to share my passion for the language with others, so teaching was the obvious profession.
I received the North Carolina Teaching Fellows Scholarship to attend Campbell University. Throughout my four years as a Campbell Camel, I studied abroad in Costa Rica two different times (once as a student taking classes in Alajuela and once as a volunteer in an orphanage and school in Ciudad Quesada). I graduated from CU summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with Teaching License.
I now live in a tiny house in Cary with my adorable french bulldog/boston terrier, Mac. This is my sixth year at Fuquay-Varina High School and I love being a Bengal!
